HOW TO CONNECT IT

Create an account on composio.dev.
The free Hobby plan is enough.composio.dev

Create an account on firecrawl.dev and copy your API key.
You'll find it at firecrawl.dev/app/api-keys. Keep it handy: you need it in step 6.firecrawl.devfirecrawl.dev/app/api-keys

Claude: connect Composio.
Go to Customize, then Connectors. Click Add (or +) and choose a custom connector: Add custom connector, or Custom and then Web. Give it a name, for example Composio, and paste this address: https://connect.composio.dev/mcp. Follow the steps to Add and sign in to Composio when Claude asks. Works on the free plan too, which allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an admin adds it.

ChatGPT: connect Composio.
Go to Plugins, click + and choose Add custom MCP server. Give it a name, paste the address https://connect.composio.dev/mcp under Connection, tick the warning and choose Create. Sign in to Composio when ChatGPT asks. Note: according to OpenAI this only fully works on Business, Enterprise or Edu, and on Business only for admins. On Pro you can add such a connection, but only with read and fetch permissions: try it, and if it doesn't work, use Claude. OpenAI doesn't mention Free or Plus: use Claude.

Ask in a new chat.
In Claude, switch the Composio connector on for that chat. In ChatGPT, type @ first and pick Composio. Use the prompt below.

Paste your Firecrawl key when Composio asks for it.
The first time your AI uses Firecrawl, it gives you a link from Composio. Open the link and click in your browser's address bar so you see the whole address. It must start with exactly https://connect.composio.dev/ and anything may follow after that. If anything other than connect.composio.dev sits between https:// and the first /, like connect.composio.dev.example.com, don't paste your key. If it's right, paste your API key from step 2 and approve the connection. Then tell your AI to carry on. Composio remembers the connection.

GOOD TO KNOW
- You can use Composio and Firecrawl for free, without a credit card. Firecrawl gives you 1,000 free credits a month, and reading one page costs one. When they run out, it stops until next month. Nothing is charged.
- Composio stores your Firecrawl key. It doesn't pass through your chat with your AI.
- Only connect services you trust. A malicious connection can try to make your AI quietly do something else.
